The “What Is A Grant” video was released on YouTube on August 5, 2012 and seeks to clarify a few common misconceptions about grant money. “The reality is a lot of people are very curious about grants. Many have seen some late night commercial and heard others talk about it and simply want a piece of the pie for themselves. However, grants just don’t work that way,” says Rodney Walker, President of Grant Central USA.

Most people are surprised to learn 501c3 nonprofit charitable organizations (i.e. schools, social service agencies and hospitals) are the primary recipients of grants. However, Walker says another very common question people ask immediately after learning this fact is, “How can I become a 501c3 nonprofit?” It just goes to show, everyone wants a piece of the pie.

Grant Central USA (GCUSA) was hosted a grant writing webinar on Thursday, August 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. (PST), featuring Lori Call, a veteran grant writer. The webinar focused on several ways to develop and maintain strong relationships with grant making foundations and funders. This training is one of a series of webinars the company has offered this year.

Who has time for a grant writing webinar? You may be surprised. In today’s fast moving society it is often too hard and inconvenient for stressed out, overworked executives to leave their offices to attend a seminar. Yet continuous learning is crucial if any organization is going to continue to grow and thrive.

Several of the one-on-one exclusive interviews with philanthropic leaders are featured in GCUSA online grant writing course. Sheridan Richards admits she

How To Apply For Pell Grants

A formula which calculates financial need is employed to decide eligibility for these outright grants which do not require repayment.
